Accessibility

COY21 2026 is committed to making this site usable for everyone. This statement describes the accessibility work already built into the site, and will be updated as the site continues to develop.

Keyboard navigation

Every interactive element on this site, including navigation links, the mobile menu, and FAQ entries, is operable from the keyboard alone, with no mouse required. Buttons use native HTML button elements, so standard Enter/Space activation works without extra code.

Focus management

The mobile navigation menu traps keyboard focus while open, moves focus into the menu when it opens, and returns focus to the button that opened it when it closes, so keyboard users are never dropped somewhere unexpected. Focus states are visible throughout the site.

Bilingual, right-to-left support

The site is fully available in both English and Arabic, including correct right-to-left layout, text direction, and mirrored navigation placement when Arabic is selected. This is handled at the page level, not just by flipping text.

Semantic structure and screen readers

Navigation regions are labeled landmarks, interactive controls carry appropriate ARIA attributes (for example aria-expanded and aria-controls on the FAQ accordion, aria-modal and aria-label on the mobile menu dialog), and status messages such as "content coming soon" notices use role="status" so assistive technology announces them.
